Professional / Education Background
Grace has a diverse and unique professional background. She received her
B.A. in 1995 from the University of Rochester, cum laude, in Economics and
Political Science. She then spent two years as a paralegal at Riker, Danzig,
Scherer & Perretti LLP in Morristown, NJ learning the ins and outs of the legal
profession.
Grace received her J.D. in 2000 from Seton Hall University School of Law.
While at Seton Hall, Grace was an Editorial Staff Member and an Articles
Editor of, and published author in, the Seton Hall Law Review. She won the
title of Best Oralist in her Appellate Advocacy class. Grace also was an intern
for the Honorable William H. Walls, United States District Court for the
District of New Jersey, and worked as a Summer Associate at Riker, Danzig,
Scherer & Perretti LLP in Morristown, NJ.
Following law school, Grace clerked for the Honorable Howard H. Kestin,
Appellate Division, Superior Court of New Jersey. She then entered private
practice at Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, PC, in Morristown, NJ, where she
concentrated her practice in defending pharmaceutical companies and other
manufacturers in complex product liability matters.
While in private practice at Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, PC, Grace was active
in pro bono work in the family law field. She volunteered at Jersey Battered
Women’s Service, Inc., and was court-appointed counsel in a termination of
parental rights proceeding. It was through these pro bono experiences that
Grace decided to devote her career to family law.

After taking time off to start her own family, Grace returned to private practice at the Law Offices of Marshall
Gates, in Succasunna, NJ. She also became Designated Counsel for the Office of Parental Representation,
Office of the Public Defender, through which she has represented caregivers in child abuse and/or neglect
and termination of parental rights proceedings on the appellate level.
Grace joined Veres & Riordan LLC in the summer of 2008, and has brought with her an extensive appellate
practice through the Office of Parental Representation. She also works with private clients on their family law
issues.
Admitted to Practice
Grace was admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey in 2000. She is also admitted to practice before
the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and State of New York.

Up Close and Personal
In her spare time, Grace enjoys cooking, gardening, taking pottery classes, and chasing after her three
young children. She resides locally with her family. Grace practices in the area of family law, concentrating
on issues such as child abuse or neglect, termination of parental rights, divorce, custody, domestic violence,
and related matters.
